Definition

LMR (Land Mobile Radio) is the broad category of two-way radio systems used by public safety agencies, utilities, and other organizations. ERRCS specifically addresses the public safety LMR frequencies used by police, fire, and EMS. LMR includes both analog and digital (P25) systems operating on VHF, UHF, 700 MHz, and 800 MHz bands.
